Artist Statement: "I feel fortunate that I can visit the summer dances at Monenkopi with my Hopi friend Kate. The Kachinas are amazing, dancing in unison and chanting. Then the Koshares come out! They mimic every excessive behavior that humans have. They poke fun and embarrass anyone who has misbehaved in the pueblo. This silly fellow may eat all of the treats himself or throw them at someone. It's up to the viewer." - Susan Kliewer.
