1930sThis weaving is in very good condition. There are areas with faint spotting, weft wear, and edge wear. Ex Arizona collection. The owner inherited this from her grandfather, James Turpen. His brother, Tobe Turpen, Sr., owned the Tobe Turpen Trading Post in Gallup, New Mexico, during the 1920s. James was a trader himself and ran a trading post on the southern rim of the Grand Canyon between the 1930s and 40s.
