1880s*** A portion of the proceeds from the purchase of this weaving will be donated to the Blessingway, a 501c3 non-profit organization created in 2016 to aid the Diné people of the Navajo Nation, particularly those individuals who are committed to the continuation of their weaving tradition and life ways, as well as those in need of financial assistance for their education. In 2020, with the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, Blessingway has been working to keep the Diné community safe and healthy with food, and PPE to those in need by holding monthly drive thru relief events. These events have been going on since May and will continue to do so as long as there is the need. 100% of the funds go directly to the Navajo people. Blessingway does not charge any administration fees. *** This weaving is in good condition. There are small holes and signs of old restoration in the center, as well as slight wear to the edges and corner tassels. Acquired from a private collection in New Mexico.
