Plateau Elk Leather Beaded Gauntlets with Floral Design c. 1900-10s, 15.25" x 9"

This item is in good condition. There is no bead loss. The leather has wear, small spots, and areas with staining near the edges. Ex Washington collection. The original owner gifted his grandson these gauntlets, along with a card, one year for Christmas. Written in this card, the owner states that these gauntlets were made from the first elk he had hunted while living on Shoshone. He remorsefully describes the staining as coming from removing beehives near his home as he wore them. Includes a copy of this Christmas card.
