"The title of this piece was inspired by a Willie Nelson song that really says it all.

This rancher has had a long morning mending fences. He's ready to take a well-deserved break, but his border collie, Buddy, wants to keep on. After all, he is a 'working dog' and loves to work.

My dog, Cookie, was the model for this sculpture. She has passed on to doggie heaven and I still miss my Old Friend."
