Dakota / Sioux Beaded Leather Cradleboard Cover Made from Elk Hide, Trade Cloth, and Vintage Flour Sack c. 1890s

Ex Oklahoma collection. The owner inherited this from her great-grandfather who acquired this in trade during his travels from Oklahoma to Alaska. The cotton fabric of this piece is backed with an old flour sack from the Chase Bag Company of Grafton Roller Mills, North Dakota.
