Navajo Red Mesa Rug c. 1950s, 83" x 48.5" (T5919)

This weaving has some very minor spotting and some fading in to one side. There is some moth grazing, and minor edge and weft wear. The warp count is 6, and the weft count is 24, per inch. The owner received this item from his parents, who inherited it from his mother's father (his maternal grandfather), who was a deputy before Arizona became a state, and later became a cattle rancher until the 1920s.
