This weaving is in good condition. There are areas with small spots, weft wear, and holes near the center, allowing some warps to peek through. Please see addtional photos. Ex private collection, Arizona. The owner inherited this from her grandfather, James Turpen, the brother of Tobe Turpen Sr. who owned the Tobe Turpen Trading Post in Gallup, New Mexico in the 1920s. James Turpen was also a trader and ran a trading post on the South rim of the Grand Canyon during the 1930-40s.
