Navajo Double Saddle Blanket c. 1930s, 63" x 31"

This weaving is in very good condition, with slight spotting, ware to one corner, and minor moth grazing. Ex Texas collection. The previous owner inherited this from their godfather who lived in Tucson, and was a 1932 graduate of the University of Arizona. His nickname was 'Cactus Joe' and he had many dealings with the Native Americans. He went on to be the head of water and power in southern California.
