This weaving is in near-excellent condition with one missing tassel. It is very unusual to see a weaver include a loose yarn as part of the design in the weaving. One of the horse riders is holding a loose, red yarn, which is the horse rein that comes out of the weaving around the horse. Ex Rex Arrowsmith Estate: a long-time Native American trader and art dealer, who owned a shop in Santa Fe, New Mexico ‘Relics of the Old West,’ which opened off the Old Santa Fe Trail in 1950. He also participated as a judge at the Santa Fe Indian Market for many years. He also served as president of SWAIA, Southwestern Association for Indian Arts.
