Artist comments: "Swaying colors of cerulean and cadmium blend together in this oil painting of Zion National Park. This autumn-colored scene was inspired by the waters flowing out the west side of the canyon. The brush strokes, thick and impressionistic, are full of life and movement, each brush stroke catching the light around it and subtly changing color and tone as you move around the canvas and view it from different angles. This expressionist style painting captures the feeling of being outdoors and seeing this stunning scenery in person." This oil painting was created on gallery-depth canvas, with the painting wrapped around the edges. This painting arrives framed in a beautiful 23-kt gold leaf floater frame, wired and ready to hang. 67.5" x 49.5" framed. Exhibited "Along the Distant Mesa: An Homage to Maynard Dixon" Mark Sublette Medicine Man Gallery, Tucson, Arizona, March 8-April 30, 2019.
