DETAILS
24" x 25" framed. Unsigned. Includes an estate letter verifying the artist. Acquired from a private collection in Arizona. Stahl was a painter and illustrator, born in Chicago and lived in Connecticut in the 1940-50s. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, and was a magazine and book illustrator. His illustrations are included in American Artist, Saturday Evening Post, Magazine World, and the anniversary edition of "Gone with the Wind" and "Blackbeard's Ghost." He taught at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. He later settled in Sarasota, Florida. He was the Vice President of the Sarasota Art Association.
