Fellows, Fred

Oklahoma-born Fred Fellows was raised on Western art and life, encouraged by his aunt (who studied under Nicholai Fechin and Birger Sandzen) and inspired by his grandmother’s brother (who rode with the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show). Fellows is an emeritus member of the Cowboy Artists of America and its longest-active member, having joined in 1969. The artist is renowned for both sculpture and painting and has won awards for work in both mediums. Fellows’s artwork is part of many museum and corporate collections including the Booth Museum in Georgia and the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Wyoming. Fred Fellows lives on his southern Arizona ranch with his wife, nationally-acclaimed sculptor Deborah Copenhaver-Fellows. Click here to also view available paintings by Fred Fellows.
