Mell, Ed

Ed Mell’s Modernist take on Western art has delighted collectors for fifty years. Like his paintings, his angular sculpture is rooted in the Cubist aesthetic of reducing shapes to geometric solids and planes. Aside from a successful 10-year stint in New York City’s commercial art world, Mell has spent his career in Arizona, depicting the American West with his unique vision. Significant public and private collections feature his work, including Kartchner Caverns State Park, The Forbes Collection, Diane Keaton, U-Haul Corporation, Tri-Star Pictures, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Coors, and Phoenix Art Museum.
