Ramon Froman specialized in oil portrait painting of Native Americans, Spanish and Mexican Americans His training was in Chicago at the American Academy of Art. His portraits can be found in the permanent collections of Southern Methodist Univ, University of Texas at Austin, numerous private collections and he received awards from the American Artists Professional League, New York City Best Portrait Gold Medal Award.
