DETAILS
This weaving is in good condition, commensurate with age. There are areas with faint spotting, slight color run, weft wear, and signs of old restoration. The corners and tassels are nicely intact, and the wool is soft and flexible. Ex Arizona collection. This textile belonged to the owner's grandfather, Thomas T. Moulton, who served as the Sound Director for the 20th Century-Fox Studio Sound Department during the 1940s and early 1950s. Moulton won five Oscars during his career, one of them historically presented by Marilyn Monroe at the 23rd Academy Awards on March 29, 1951.
