Featuring more than 700 of the nation’s most successful American Indian artists, this significant cultural event attracts nearly 20,000 visitors each spring to downtown Phoenix.
The 53rd annual Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market continues to combine innovative new artists and activities with the timeless traditions of the Southwest. Among the festival’s highlights is the one-of-a-kind jewelry, textiles, sculpture, pottery, paintings, carvings and more offered by renowned artists. This year’s signature artist is Shonto Begay. The Navajo artist, author and educator is known for his evocative, impressionistic imagery depicted in paintings and illustrations.

Visitors can meet Begay and other winners of the Heard’s juried art competition at the Best of Show Reception on Friday, March 4, at 5:30 p.m. Best of Show tickets are a commodity and a chance to preview the winning artwork, meet the artists and enjoy a catered dinner.
