Wallace at his trading post in Zuni from 1940-60 and helped developed Navajo and Zuni artisans. The image on the back of the famous Sothebys Parke Bernet catalog (see image) sold many of C.G. Wallace's personal pieces in November of 1975 and was considered a watershed moment for Native American Jewelry. The back cover shows Mrs. Corcoran with Mr. Wallace and attests to her importance to Wallace's operation. It's a rare opportunity to be able to have such a stelar provenance from one of the most important trading posts of the early 20th century.
