30.9g, 33" length. The Helen Corcoran (1900-1967) collection comes directly from her descendants. Corcoran who worked with C.G. Wallace at his trading post in Zuni from 1940-60 and helped developed Navajo and Zuni artisans. The photo on the back cover of a famous Sothebys Parke Bernet catalog sold many of C.G. Wallace's personal pieces in November of 1975 and was considered a watershed moment for Native American Jewelry. The photo shows Mrs. Corcoran with Mr. Wallace and attests to her importance to Wallace's operation. It's a rare opportunity to be able to have such a stellar provenance from one of the most important trading posts of the early 20th century.
