"A young Lakota woman pauses at her bath. Beaded amulets are tied to here rawhide belt, symbolizing events in the future. The turtles and lizards represent the male and female continuance of life. Successful buffalo hunts and horse raids are shown by a horse head. A knife sheath symbolizes the tanning of hides and the making of crafts. Lastly, a purse placed upside down denotes the tribe's goods flowing freely to all."
