Deborah Copenhaver-Fellows - Giving Thanks for the Rain the Grass and a Way of Life
- Medium: Bronze
- Edition: 100
- Size: 18'' x 17'' x 7.5''
Giving Thanks for the Rain, the Grass, and a Way of Life is a smaller version of Deborah’s monumental sculpture, Giving Thanks.
Like its larger counterpart, this sculpture features a turn-of-last-century cowboy modeled with authentic cowboy gear from the era. Specific accouterments featured are the rawhide bridle, a G. Garcia bit, late-1800s leggings, and a D.E. Walker Visalia saddle. The horse is modeled after Eagle, the trusty horse owned by Deborah's husband, Fred Fellows (a member of the Cowboy Artists of America).
Measurements reflect the bronze sculpture with the base. The base is 1.375" thick.
