"While Zion is rightfully famous for the glorious, deep canyon of the Virgin River, one of the more interesting things I have noticed about it is how its character can change on stormy or unsettled weather days, particularly in early spring and late fall. The title references the slow paced, broadly melodic largo movement found in classical music, of which one of my personal favorites is the largo from Dvorak’s New World Symphony. So imagine if you will this movement playing through my car stereo as I wait out a rain shower on a cool, blustery spring day up in Zion Canyon at the Court of the Patriarchs. Light slowly, gracefully begins to move over the canyon in spots as the clouds begin to break, and I can sense the moment of inspiration is at hand. What an utterly sublime experience." -Stephen C.
