Moffat County is home to some spectacular canyon country, as the Yampa River flows right across it from east to west. Getting to that canyon country requires a long drive, however, across very sparsely populated arid country. But the rewards of the journey make it worthwhile. And given how much emphasis has been placed on social distancing this year, and my tendencies toward being a bit of a hermit anyway, I decided that being smack in the middle of a county roughly the same size as Connecticut but home to only 13,000 souls was indeed comfortably remote." -Stephen C.
