14" x 25.75" framed. "Southwest of Grand Junction is an area on the Uncompahgre Plateau, above the canyons of Colorado National Monument, known as Glade Park. It is a remote area, requires a bit of time and trouble to access, and is largely comprised of broad expanses of sagebrush and juniper punctuated by the occasional large ranch and many ridges and buttes of sandstone. I have never found another place quite like it, and it exercises a peculiar power of fascination over me. I never tire of visiting to paint, and I always find something well worth the effort. This wall is the nearly straight southwestern face of a triangular butte at the intersection of two roads, and like many of the sandstone outcrops here it is perfectly positioned to catch the setting winter sun. The title refers to the feeling I get whenever I am in Glade Park painting." -Stephen C. Datz
