Victor & Naomi Eckleberry Biography

Victor and Naomi are both from Santa Clara Pueblo. They both were inspired to make traditional Santa Clara pottery and have been working since 1985. Naomi hand coils and shapes the pieces and Victor enjoys carving the designs. They specialize in black pottery and their designs are all connected to Father Sky and Mother Earth, and include kiva steps, waves and feathers. True collaborators, Naomi does the polishing and Victor fires the pieces using the oxygen reduction process to turn the pots black.
