Original frame that has been re-guild. Carlos is considered to be the first professional artist in Santa Fe. Had an interest in architecture and started the pueblo style revival, which become known as Santa Fe style. There are few Carlos Vierra paintings to be found and this is a classic 1920s painting. Published on page 66 in “Canyon Road Arts: The Complete Visitors Guide to Arts, Dining, and Santa Fe Lifestyle” Volume III, 2007-2008. Title signed in Vierra’s hand on verso. Signature in foreground of painting to the right and on the frame on verso.
