Rosita Cata Biography

Rosita learned to make pottery from her mother, Frances Naranjo Salazar and her grandmother, Flora Naranjo. Rosita makes polychrome pieces decorated with matte paints. She also makes polished and carved red ware and black ware. Her favorite designs are the Avanyu, feathers, clouds, the bear paw and kiva steps.
