This weaving is in very good condition, with slight weft wear, and edge wear. Ex private collection, Arizona. The owner inherited this from her grandfather, James Turpen, the brother of Tobe Turpen Sr. who owned the Tobe Turpen Trading Post in Gallup, New Mexico in the 1920s. James Turpen was also a trader and ran a trading post on the South rim of the Grand Canyon during the 1930s-40s.
