Plateau Beaded Moccasins with Corn Designs c. 1890-1900s, 3.75" x 3.25" x 10" (DW1175)

Moccasins stand 3.75" tall, have a width of 3.25" and a depth of 10". These moccasins are in good condition. There is very minor bead-loss, The leather has slight surface wear, feint staining, and it is soft. Acquired from a private collection out of Minnesota. The owner inherited this from her mother, who travelled to the upper Midwest in the early 1930s, likely North Dakota and South Dakota. She worked for Harvard's Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, collecting specimens for her small mammal displays.
