Unframed. The painting does have some wear to the edges, and one corner has been worn off. On the right side of the painting, under the juniper branches in the hand, there is a rubbed mark on the board. On the back, it states “Long Hair Kachina, Artist is at Tuba City, Purchased in Tucson, 5-31-60.” Overall, the painting is in good condition. Acquired from a private collection out of Arizona. Ex Arthur and Barbara Loomis Woodward collection. Both were anthropologists and archaeologists. Barbara was also a photographer. They had a passion for Native American cultures and art. There is a book on Arthur's life entitled "Rubaboo: The Story of Arthur Woodward - Adventurer, Historian, Archaeologist - Who Was Driven by His Need to Know," by Ken Woodward.
