82.9g, 2.75" bandwidth, size 7 to include a gap of 1.25". Acquired from a private collection in Colorado. Number 8 turquoise is highly sought after by collectors. It was discovered in 1925 and was named Number 8, since it is an 8 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness. Most turquoise is 4 or 5 on the Mohs scale.
