Double line decoration around the rim. 8 tadpoles on interior of the bowl, 8 tadpoles on the exterior. Tadpoles represent water, which is sacred to desert people, like the Zuni that had to transport water via jars. When tadpoles were around it meant plenty of water, as well as fertility. This pottery is in good condition with surface wear, craquelure, and no significant chips or cracks. Acquired from a private collection in Colorado.
