Angie Yazzie - Taos Micaceous Melon Bowl c. 2009, 5.5" x 8" (P91963C-0719-007)

Additional Information

  • Circa: 2009
  • Size: 5.5'' x 8''
This pottery is in near excellent condition. There are fire clouds on the sides. There is a superficial area that is peeling. This is not a crack, as it does not go through the wall of the pot. Plus, it is only seen when looking from the left. Included are close-up images. One image shows this area straight on, one from the left, one from the right, and two images are of the interior wall. This pot has wonderful thin walls. The thinner the walls, the more difficult it is to make, so this potter, Angie Yazzie, is very accomplished and well-known. Acquired from a private collection in Arizona. Includes a copy of the owner's receipt showing it was purchased on January 9, 2010. The owners prepared a book on their collection, and this includes copies of the cover of the book and the page on this pot.
