Navajo Transitional Blanket c. 1890s, 78" x 55" (T5441)
- Circa: 1890s
- Size: 78'' x 55''
This weaving is in good condition. There is slight spotting, and areas of weft wear, allowing some warps to peek through. There is a hole near the center, which is approximately 0.75" in size. The purple yarns show signs of old restoration, which was wonderfully done in matching the texture and color of the yarn. The wool is soft and flexible. The warp count is 6, and the weft count is 16, per inch. Acquired from a private collection in Arizona.
