This weaving is in very good condition. There are two small stains; one near one of the corners, and the other near one of the stars; as well as one slightly curled corner. The warp count is 6, and the weft count is 20, per inch. Acquired from a private collection in Arizona. The owner inherited this from her husband’s grandmother, who was born in Arizona in 1903 and died in 1971. She collected Native American works and had lived on the Apache reservation, outside of Globe, Arizona. Her husband was a deputy sheriff. She had started a coffee shop called Tuttle’s Coffee, and she spoke some of the Apache language.
