46.8g, 16" length, 0.875" x 0.875" center pendant. Hallmarked "KB" with the White Hogan Shop symbol on verso. Acquired from a private collection in Pennsylvania. Number 8 turquoise is highly sought after by collectors. It was discovered in 1925 and was named Number 8, since it is an 8 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness. Most turquoise is 4 or 5 on the Mohs scale.
