The beadwork is in very good condition; there is some minor bead loss on the rim of the lower pouch. Acquired directly from an old Territorial Arizonan family. The owner's great-grandfather was the owner of the Rupkey Trading Post, which opened in 1900. The Rupkey Trading Post closed in 1930 when the Coolidge Dam flooded. This item was purchased on the reservation while running the trading post.
