Hopi Polychrome Wicker Tray, 2.5" x 16"

15" tall with custom stand. This basket is in good condition; there is some edge wear, stich loss, and one side is faded. The coil count is 1 and the stitch count is 12, per inch. Acquired from a private collection in South Carolina. The owner purchased this basket in Santa Cruz, CA sometime in 1972 or 1973. He was told the original owner of the basket was a conductor for the Southwest railroad, and was also a collector. This basket still has the old tag on it.
