This basket is in very good condition. Acquired from a private collection in North Dakota. Includes an old tag on the bottom stating that it is from Second Mesa. "Yungyapu" is the Hopi name for a wicker plaque. The owner inherited many items from her grandparents, who owned the Parke Museum in Sterling, Dakota. A copy of an old article from 1948 about the museum is included. The owner also collected many items herself in Arizona and New Mexico.
