This weaving is in very good condition. There are no holes or signs of moth grazing. There is some slight spotting to the center. There is no staining, fading, or color run. The selvage is good and the corners and tassels are intact. The wool is soft and flexible. Acquired from a private collection in Arizona. The owner inherited from a friend, who would visit the Navajo reservation and Hopi Pueblo in the 1950-60s, and would purchase directly from the artisans. His parents moved to Arizona in 1947 and purchased a grocery store in Mesa, where they served until 1952 when they founded Van's Mobile Homes, aka called Van's RV Trailer Co., which is now in the Sun City Area.
