Tohono O'odham Tray with Handle and Eagle, Snake, and Arrow Pictorial c. 1920s, 13" diameter

13" tall with stand. This basket is in very good condition. There is minor stitch loss, as well as some surface wear. Acquired from a private collection in Arizona. The owner inherited this item from his grandparents, who owned two Indian stores on reservations; one of them was called Covered Wells Trading Store in Sells, Arizona, and the other was in Phoenix, Arizona. His grandfather had passed away around 1918. His grandmother took over the store at the time, she later passed away in 1950.
