This weaving is in good condition. There is slight spotting, areas with color-run, one small hole near one of the edges, weft weft, and corner wear. The warp count is 11, and the weft count is 44, per inch. Acquired from a private collection in California. This rug was collected by the owner's great-grandfather, who lived in Winslow, Arizona. He owned the Dagg Mercantile, which was located on a corner in Winslow, and was the very corner where The Eagles song "Take it Easy" received its inspiration. The owner's great-grandfather had developed a good relationship with the Navajo, and often traded with them, and was made an honorary chief. The owner's family now has a section in the Winslow Museum that contains Native American jewelry and artifacts.
