37g, 36" length, 2" x 1.5" bolo. Hallmarked "TL" with a mountain range. Acquired from a private collection in Colorado. This item was purchased at a Santa Fe Indian market sometime between 1976 and 1985. The owner's husband was a retired physician who became a ceramist. They traveled to Mexican Baja Peninsula, where he studied with the indigenous people. He also sponsored native potters to teach there and in the United States.
