This weaving is in good condition. Thre is very minor fuzziness to the wool, slight spotting, and a curl to the corners. The selvage is good and the corners are intact. The warp count is 10, and the weft count is 36, per inch. Acquired from a private collection in Montana. The owner inherited this weaving from his father, who collected many weavings as a hobby. He obtained several weavings in 1966 when he worked as a medical physician in Ganado, Arizona. The owner remembers when they visited the reservation and viewed the Navajo women weaving their rugs along the roadway.
