These pieces range in size from 8" x 6" to 17" x 13". The owner inherited this collection from her father. He was the head of the History Department at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and passed in 1999. He collected during the 1980s and was gifted these from many of the Kiowa artists. The artists wanted to preserve their oral history and these are illustrations for the stories. Many have been published. Acquired from a private collection in Arizona.
