16" x 16" framed. ARTIST COMMENTS: Sabino Canyon is one of the true treasures of the Tucson area. In the autumn you can see splendid displays of color in the sycamores and cottonwoods along the streambed. This spot was one of those "casual glance stops you in your tracks" sort of scenes which are just magical to me. The light colored gneiss boulders made for an interesting color contrast with the golden leaves, and the scene really captures the brilliance of the Sonoran sun. I've painted Sabino quite a bit over the years, but this little piece is one of my favorite paintings of the canyon.
