Includes custom hanger. This tile was originally purchased from the Museum of Northern Arizona in 1951. Sadie Adams is from the Tewa Kachina / Parrot clan. She lived at the Hano village on First Mesa, learning traditional pottery. She later worked at the Hubbell Trading Post. In 1942, she received an Honorable Mention at the Hopi Show in the Museum of Northern Arizona. In 1961, she won the First Prize at the Hopi Exhibition at the Museum of Northern Arizona. In 1964, She received an Honorable Mention at the 3rd Scottsdale National Indian Arts Exhibition at the Executive House in Scottsdale. She was commissioned to make tiles that are set into the front wall at the entrance to the Museum of Northern Arizona. Her works were also exhibited at the Heard Museum from 1995 to 1997. Her works resides in the collections of the Museum of Northern Arizona, Dr. Gregory Schaaf, Heard Museum in Phoenix, and Tohono Chul Park in Arizona.
