This great Dunton came directly from the Harmsen Collection, founders of Jolly Rancher Candy. The bulk of the Harmsen Collection resides in the Denver Art Museum, with a dedicated area for important western art. Condition is excellent with original Harmsen Collection tags on verso. The painting is listed in Julie Schimmels "The Art and Life of Herbert Dunton." Published in Western Art Collector, May 2009, page 59.
