"Blue Thunder's Doll was inspired by a photo of a young Rosebud Sioux girl taken in 1904. The Sioux were living the hard life of reservation Indians, no longer free to hunt and fish where they pleased. Blue Thunder and her doll retreat to the child's world of vivid imagination where love and comforts await their playtime as well as seeking solitude during the time of great transition." - Doug Hyde
