From the Hollis Randall Williford (1940 - 2007), sculptor, collection. Published in "Glass Plates and Wagon Ruts: Images of the Southwest by Lisle Updike and William Pennington" by H. Jackson Clark, page 175. Same man is published on 184. Caption reads "One of Pennington's most popular images in the Navajo series. "Grandma" Martin remembered him as Hosteen Joe, a neighbor from Sanostee, Arizona."
